What Did You Do To Prepare This Week?

I got a new heater. Also picked up a bunch of accessories I have been wanting. A Safariland paddle holster that will accomodate a Glock with a TLR-1. If I like using the light on my Glock down the road a nicer setup will be acquired. A stainless steel guide rod and a Lone Wolf 3.5 pound trigger connector round things out on the Glock front.

Got a set of boot grips for the new heater as well as an en cheapo holster (till I figure out what I want), and some speed loaders. Tossed some more speed loaders and speed strips into the order just because.

Lastly I picked up a Costa Leg Rig. Pretty sure that on a rigger belt is going to be my answer to the 'battle belt'.

Picked up a few odds and ends at the grocery store. Looking at making a decent sized order this week.

Well that is what we have been up to. What did you do to prepare this week?

Hey there, I just came across your website whilst looking up stuff on Disaster Cooking,(I'm trying to prepare the kitchen this week!) good stuff, we need more info like this out there I think!

We just started a Kickstarter campaign for a survival cookbook. "Cooking with Fire: The Disaster Cookbook. How to cook when the lights go out." If you are a fan of cooking or disasters, check it out, we can use the support! ;-) We also have some really swell pledge rewards!

Thanks and keep up the helpful work!

Ryan -

That's funny. I just ordered a Costa Leg Rig - got it last Thursday. Did an hour or so of dry practice with it over the weekend, and really like it. I will like it more as the TACOs loosen up a bit. I am not a battle belt guy at all, but I really like this. Great for rolling slick, range use, etc.

I went full Costa Fan Boy and got the Ares Ranger belt to go with it, and am blown away with it, too. Great combo together.

Upped my PT a notch, now that there's time in the schedule.

And hauled out enough miscellany to fill 10 milkcrates, color-sorted by functional groups ("Tools", "Signal", "Firestarting", "First Aid" etc.) such that I can inventory, distribute and repack the survivalist/prepper flotsam and jetsam accumulated over the last decade and buried during two moves, into appropriate pouches, vests, kits, bags, etc.

Because the only thing better than buying new stuff, is finding out you already have it, and getting it where you can put your hands on it readily.
