EDC Contest Entry #29 Archer Garrett

Hey Folks, I am pleased to bring another entry for our EDC Contest. First we will quickly recap what is going on. The broad strokes are this. I want to share and discuss the stuff we carry around every day AKA EDC. Taking pictures of our stuff and talking about it is my goal.

The prizes will be as follows:
1st Place: 3 Sport Berkey Water Bottles donated by LPC Survival ($69 value)
2nd Place: 1 Blackhawk Holster donated by LuckyGunner.com ($50 value)
3rd Place:  1 Snare-Vival-Trap cough garote cough donated by Camping Survival ($17 value)

Wildcard: This one goes to whoever I want to give it to for whatever reason I feel like. It will be a grab bag donated by yours truly. The exact makeup is TBD depending on what I have lying around  and may include books, gear, medical stuff or even a couple silver dimes. ($30+  value)

Check out the details and my example post here.

 Onto Entry #29

Here's what I sport.  A rundown:

Gerber EVO:  Nothing special, but it flicks open like butter and its pointy.
Leather Wallet:  Spartan in nature; no more than a few bucks on hand.
Columbia Fleece Cap:  This gets traded for a generic, camo ball cap in warmer weather.
Blackberry:  Got demoted from an iPhone to this.  The withdrawals were severe.
ANSI Sunglasses + Croakies
Keys:  Minimalist in its offerings.  Other, seldom-used keys go on other rings.
Bic Lighter:  For burning ants and smoking Meth, what else?
Generic Pin:  I used to carry more expensive pens, but they always lost me.
Keltec P-3AT + Mag ext. + belt/pants clip:  Look closely, it's as if there's no sights.  Did they forget them?

Carried on colder days/when especially warranted
FNP-9 + ArmaLaser Stingray + belt/pants clip:  Good gun, functional laser, nice clip.  I seldom use holsters.  If not worn, it rides in the laptop case (see below)

Not Pictured:
Keltec PF-9 + Mag ext. + CT Laser + belt/pants clip:  Carried when the FNP-9 is inconvenient to conceal.

I have a Laptop case that follows me in the office and around in my truck.  Here's some of the more interesting items that tag along.  I just now realized there is a particular amount of redundancy with bladed items and lighters.  If I see a light or a knife, it often gets tossed in the case.

The ultimate goal for the laptop case is to conceal a sub2k in places that a laptop case/briefcase would be deemed acceptable (office, etc). Active shooter scenario is the rationale behind this. It would give me the ability to engage a threat with much greater accuracy. AFAIK, the sub2k is the shortest shoulderable weapon on the market, when folded (excluding NFA options).

The current political atmosphere has unfortunately elevated the lowly sub2k to about $2k. So I wait.

The only thing I'll mention here is the Leatherman Skeletool and the Nebo Redline Flashlight (~$30 & very bright).
