Glock 3.5lb Connector Installation

Today I put a 3.5lb connector in my EDC Glock. Also put in a stainless steel guide rod. Don't remember who made them but these parts are pretty standard so it doesn't matter too much.

Here is the video I used to do it.

Granted it's possible to do this with a reference book (which you should have for a backup) but videos tend to work better.

This combo is pretty awesome. Really it's becoming standard for me. The cost is around $40 once you figure in shipping so it's an easy decision to make. Night sights are also excellent but cost a bit more in the range of $100. I can use another set of those.

Anyway I wanted to share that all with you.

I also add the NY#1 trigger for faster reset.

Brass, Interesting. I'll have to check into that.

The stainless guide rod is advantageous how exactly?

I've put the 3.5# connectors in both my Blocks and consider that money well spent, but a little unclear about the utility of the guide rod.

H, It's just a little bit of extra weight in the right spot to decrease muzzle rise and speed up second shot acquisition. Try it, you might like it.

I am primarily a glock guy now. I have always been leery of modifications to a highly reliable package. Other than sights I don't want to mess with it.

2heavyb, I do not believe either of these mods would affect reliability. Baring meaningful data that says otherwise I think that reliability stays the same and you get a much more shootable pistol.

Thank you Ryan, I'll put that on the list of things to do.
